ICAB committees are working groups that help the Institute deliver its responsibilities by involving members of ICAB and the public directly, using their technical knowledge, and running projects in parallel. Committees also help address limited staff capacity while developing future leaders within the profession.
Provides strategic oversight for ICAB’s operations, governance priorities, and long-term direction. The committee supports resource planning, monitors organisational performance, and helps ensure effective delivery of ICAB’s strategic objectives and initiatives.
Oversees ICAB’s governance framework, committee effectiveness, and organisational accountability. The committee supports leadership succession planning, governance improvements, and the ongoing review of policies, structures, and By-Laws.
Supports technical excellence within the profession through accounting, auditing, and professional standards guidance. The committee contributes to technical education, stakeholder engagement, and the development of professional best practices.
Promotes ethical conduct, integrity, and professional accountability across the accounting profession. The committee provides ethics guidance, supports awareness initiatives, and reinforces confidence in ICAB’s professional standards framework.
Provides oversight of ICAB’s quality assurance and practice monitoring activities for audit and assurance services. The committee supports compliance, continuous improvement, and public confidence in professional practice standards.
Supports continuing professional development, student advancement, and lifelong learning opportunities for members. The committee helps guide CPD initiatives, student support programmes, and professional growth pathways throughout the profession.
Leads ICAB’s engagement on policy matters affecting the profession and national development. The committee supports advocacy efforts, stakeholder consultations, financial literacy initiatives, and representation on important industry matters.
Focuses on member engagement, communication, and enhancing the overall value of ICAB membership. The committee supports outreach initiatives, visibility efforts, professional networking, and member participation across the Institute.
Provides information on additional committees, their roles and contributions to ICAB governance.

The Secretariat and Governance and Performance maintain a database of potential committee members.
